then again, getting good grades is supposed to be a million times better than just making a song..even if its awesome..

anyway, this was overall pretty great, i loved the tune. the beat suited the song, sometimes i thought the kick was just a little loud at some quiet parts so it sounded a bit sharp. oh. nevermind. the beat was too loud over the rest of the song. there. that makes better sense :/
it would sound a lot better if u added in a bass there, because some parts seeemed a little too empty.
but i really love the melody, it reminds me a little of linkin park. . .
the progression with the strings is lovely, it adds a nice feel.

1) beat is too loud.
i agree... lol. i also think my hihats sound like crap.

2) some parts are too empty, add a bass.
i also think one or two more bg instruments would make it sound more complete... and a bass is a good idea.

3) late strings.
im pretty sure ive placed the strings just right... but the full strings in the edirol orchestral always kinda just fade themselves in making them seem a lil late... so i have no idea how to fix that lol.

pretty sweet.
the beginning was all like, yeah. everything's alright. just hanging around. then
whoaa
all of a sudden we got ourselves a sweet rhythm.
the only thing that i think needs fixing is the bass around 30 seconds. can't hear it. not much, anyway. but it's not bad since it was repetitive, and it was like it had to go silent for a bit while the beat took over.
i found this in a flash i came upon. an annoyingly addicting and frustrating game :)

Yes, that game is quite addicting, but very fun nevertheless!

I think I made the bass a little quieter on purpose so it wouldn't over power the other stuff.

doesn't sound bad :)

the only this i don't like about this is that it's pretty much a loop throughout the whole song. i can tell when there's a different pattern--but of course if this is for a game, it has to be repetitive. still, it gets annoying by the time it plays over. i was going to say the end is too abrupt, compared to the rest of the song since its all ambient and sort of echoey, but since it loops, then it fits well.
i think maybe you could add just little more sound throughout the song, make it a little more fluffy :D
other than that, this is good. you used fl right?

the remix is okay, but i really don't like it all that much. some stuff really doesn't match or harmonize, and that's the thing that got me. the piano wasn't bad, tho. it just sounded like all the other instruments (strings especially) were trying hard to keep up in speed and quality

i like the beat.

the beat was nice--it was a little loud though.
the song was fairly nice, it sounded simple enough. simple is good, because sometimes too many sounds mushed together don't sound very good, even whenin harmony. it all depends on the mood of the song.
i have a feeling that writing this review is utterly pointless, since i've noticed your pattern of not responding to them, but i liked the song enough to leave some input.what impressed me was the melody-->its great even if the sound quality were to be bad. those kinds of things usually catch me. the actual SONG.
i've listened to a couple of your piece but i think this is your best one.

really nice!

i like the synth laid over it, plus the guitar and the beat just rule the song :D

it was a repetitive at parts, but overall the melody was great, the voice wasn't bad, either.
however, i didn't hear much bass! :O
it was too soft and not badass enough for the rest of the song :D

I did actually record a bassline for this track but in a different project file. I should've included it. Might do soon enough.

[Failure to Conform]

failure to conform.. :| *gets deep in thought*..xD

the structure of the song was overall brilliant, except MAJOR issues here.
i was about to give you a 5, but then i realized that would be wrong, since i'm overlooking a couple things here.
the title caught my eye, since those kinds do.
the tunes weren't bad at all, but the problem is,
A LOT OF IT WASN'T IN HARMONY.
some parts were downright out of tune, that's how i heard it. what i think you need to work on is making sure that every note that plays doesn't violently conflict with any others by another instrument.
BUT, a lot of times this is what happens: the notes don't hurt each other (lol..as if they're alive XD) ..but the tunes being played by 2 or more instruments ..just... really don't go along with each other that well.
for example, the piano wasn't bad, the progression of the song was pretty okay (you mentioned it evolving--and that part was probably where you excelled compared to all other parts) , rhythm of some of your instruments was well in tact with the beat (which was way TOO loud and..sharp--like staccato..), but put it all together, and what.
it ain't as pretty as you thought.

so i think that's where you need to work on the most.
the instruments of the beat being too sharp and loud, the conflict with the melody.
i'm impressed that the song still maintained its confidence throughout--i listened to the whole song twice. so overall, it wasn't awful, but needs work.
you can PM me if you change it later on so i can tell you what i think.
of course, that's entirely up to you, since half my reviews are unresponded, anyway. but i'm giving you some critique that i think may be useful.

this is good movie music, u kno.
when i hear this, i get inspiration for my stories-->
one i have set in the very late 19th century.
i've also listened to some of your other pieces, they help me out, too ^^
i like how a lot of it doesn't repeat itself, and it just keeps going, like there doesn't have to be a climax at every second of the song.
i say good job with the drumming and the timing of the sounds, it seemed like perfect background music for a movie :)

beat was WAY off, but i'm glad u recognized that.
the orchestra hits wern't so bad, but the quality of the sound of them wasn't.
luckily, i know how to review, so i'm not gonna give u a anything less than a 5.
meaning, the notes and beat weren't bad at all, its just the timing.
so thats why some people may see this as crap, but their a-holes so w/e
good luck with future tracks
but you might not want ask me for help on anything cuz a couple people think my songs have issues :)

Thanks well I would make the timing right but i only have fl studio 7 demo where you can't save the song. You can export it so i was working on it before i had to go to school but then my sister turned off the computer so i couldn't get it back and this is all I got so thanks for knowing how to review.

this ain't bad stuff.
its pretty good [my fav part are the background pads], i like the feel of it --except for at 1:10 the notes are okay but the sound was too scratchy as everything was much more mellow and lower, and bass is very hard to hear! boost it up a little :D
the beat is pretty good, too. sort of original, its like a bunch of beats i know mushed up into one.
i really like this song. u say its an instrumental?
