Wow!

It's very nice. I liked it from the very start.
You got a great bassline there, along with the easy-going rhythm. I love it, it just clicked with me.
I think the beginnging was my favorite part. How everything was introduced just amazed me. It just all tumbled and fell into place perfectly :D
Around 30 seconds, though, I can admit it was a little random, but it was really good (my 5th time listening now), just a little loud.
The whole feel of the song is so cool..short and sweet :P And you also had a great ending there.
What probably would get tiring to others would be the guitar, since it's very repetititive at parts. To me, though, it's pleasant.
I 5'd this, I couldn't help but say! Now I'm off to your other stuff.

Wow, that's what I call a review! XD

Yeah, the part you mentioned can sound a little random, but the melody was meant to be more like an improvisation rather than a clearly defined line. And true, the guitar is a tad repetitive, but I found that it contributes a great deal of the relaxing feel.

Thanks a lot for the review!

Beautifully simple.

Very nice piece for beginners..ha, I could learn to use this. I'm scolding myself for using my ear instead of reading sheet music for stuff. I used to be able to play sheet music on the piano easily when I was first learning, now I can play for crap, lol. I mostly use my keyboard for compositions now, not playing. It bored me.
I wish I was given something like THIS to learn instead of stuff like the Purple People Eater. what

You know this has played about 8 times? It doesn't get tiring too easily. Not unless you're learning this and having difficulty :P

The ending is nice and simple. (Right now I'm thinking, I should improve my music vocablulary. Bagatelle..?)
I love the feel that is established throughout this piece. It can represent a number of emotions, depending on your mood, what you're thinking or doing, or what's around you. That's what I love about this piece. I can't say the same for a lot of other stuff I've heard.

Winterwind-NS responds:

Hey there
A bagatelle literally translated means 'a trifle'. The most popular ones were composed by Beethoven, but I don't think it was him who coined the terminology. His most popular one is Für Elise, which everyone knows.
hahha Purple People Eater.
Thanks for the review

Pretty good.

I think you're allowed remixes..I'm not sure. According to the site, you have to upload only original work, but thousands of submissions go on the top five as covers and remixes.
The song, however is good. I don't think it needs much work, but I'm tired and I might miss something. It has a good variety of sounds, though it's repetitive.

Ic3m4n responds:

Thank you for your comment, Vesta J !

I agree with the repetitivity...that´s a problem most of the SID-remixes have to deal with, because the C64 tunes are not very long...and very often programmed to loop. I tried to give the bass and the lead some variation to "hide" this fact ;)

I see you're good at titles.

There's this piano piece I'm trying to submit, though I can't think of a good title for it! Agh. I'm thinking of submitting it today..I'm just going to have to think of something :)
So let me get on to the review. Thanks for PMing me on this, I'm happy to check out stuff :D
This is, again, very beautifully composed and played, perfect for movie score..or flash :P And I know what you mean when you say you were feeling inspired..I didn't realize what inspiration really was until a little while ago! I'd just make up stuff out of boredom, which explains why my earlier stuff wasn't as great.

Back to the song--> its soothing yet slightly down, maybe because of the title, or it's just me. I do think you could expand on this a little, though. But not too make it too complicated. It might lose its feel that way..
-Vesta J

Reasoner responds:

Some of the best music comes when you least expect it. Don't ever let it go when it comes to you or you might lose it forever. Thanks again friend for stopping by

I love the feel

you were trying to get across. I imagine a subway station. A single passenger gets out. He looks around, knowing where he is, but not paying attention. He's too wrapped up in his thoughts to notice a few strange things around him. It feels like a dream.

It's very hard to hear the man talking in the background. I get the feeling it's kind of intentional, though. You did good with blending in the music after the voice.
But I don't think the bell you used was the best for this song..it sounds too out of tune :/ Although it's a bit too repetitive, it's a good piece of work. I especially like the end.

ElectricalBypass responds:

its kind of supposed to be unclear. its like the guy is not really focusing on the speaker. I know its a little repeditive. but it sounds better when your not really focusing on the song it self. But anyways. thanks for the review.

Yes, I know. Zero bombers need to die.

This is definitely interesting to listen to--you're very right. There's a bunch of different sounds and melodies to listen to, and thos spacey synths in the background wonderfully supported the guitar bit. Not only do I like it, but it's also got that 80s-90s feel to it without sounding ..cheesy? Ehh.
It was sort of awakening, yet relaxing at the same time. Overall, it's a good piece.

Hooray, another review!
It's amazing what FL Studio can do for you if you just dig through riffs and instruments and tweak them ever so slightly. There really were only two large melodies and two short melodies. I was mesmerized myself when I heard this; I never got to hear this piece without a bunch of annoying clipping until I exported it as an MP3. Check out my other composition, "Joyful Nightmare," and see if you think that this is related to it at all. I'm trying to figure it out...
So anyways, thanks for reviewing, and I'll check out a few of your pieces!
Happy composing!

A good rise.

If I could use this in a flash, I definitely would! There are some great parts to this song that I just fell in love with. It's overall very beautiful, and I agree with Sinjim.
the pizzicato was great and sounded very real; I could see this in a carefree moment of flying, or ..rising, in any good motion picture.
-Vesta J

Mattimeeleo responds:

Hahaha, thanks. It's an honor to hear that my song is worthy of a motion picture!

1.87?

What the fuck. Better a 2.57, eh?

It's a pretty okay song, though the piano is a little too loud sometimes. The melody is good, and I like the nice beat to it. Other than that, I think it's pretty okay.
-Vesta J

SinJim responds:

Gosta loves the zeros. Thanks for the kind comments, Alt. I'll take a look into lowering the piano a tad. Glad you enjoyed this one.

:D:D

This has such a great, kiddish feeling to it. It lifted my spirits, which I didn't even know were a bit down.
Also, I think the kazoo sounds hilarious! I don't think I knew what it sounded like before this.
This is pretty impressive for the feel you were trying to achieve--and everything was well played, the quality and mixing was great, the list could go on..
Basically to say, I love this. Instant fave. :D

SWiTCH responds:

Thanks a lot duder!

Wonderful diversity :)

There isn't too much, it's okay. Sometimes I do think the instruments could be used a little better, but it may have upset the balance you have right now. It does kind of sound Irishy-SteamWizard, I now officially announce it's validity(if that's a word) as a word.
The bass is the only thing that really sounds off compared to the rest of the instruments. Maybe a different bass..wood? This particular electric bass is too solid, not enough reverb.
Now the percussion. It's beyond awesome.
You song, overall, has a very good rhythm to it, a comfortable feel, and as you said, it's a pretty good listen.

linkbryan1126 responds:

hmmmm, i was trying to get a bass that sounded like that bass they used in all the songs from brave fencer musashi, i think im closer but your right its still off, i dont know what they did for the bass in the songs for that game but it was amazing, and id love to have that sound in some of my work
