Ahh..

The oboe screwed with my mind a little o.o
..maybe its just because its late.. but I just wanted to choke that little thing >:(
The piano was nice and moving-->no long notes, I mean. But then the oboe (i'm pretty sure..or is it a flute?) had to come in and make longer notes, which frustrated me, because I guess all I'm searching for right now is just some piano, lol
I didn't let all that prevent me from rating this any less than a 10, because this is pretty much flawless. I try to review based on quality, melody, originality, and theme ^^' ..so I think I did a good one, here!
Overall, excellent job, my friend!

Reasoner responds:

I chose the oboe specifically to screw with your mind lol. No actually I chose it because I chose a flute for my other track and I was trying to diversify. "Problem solved," I said. "Oboe it is!"

nah, this doesn't seem ambient.

AHH! I just got to 1:39...I think my ears are bleeding a little..
X(
I can easily say the beginning part was the best. It was just so.. awesome!
And yeah, I can sort of see this in either techno, miscellaneous, or maybe even trance. But yeah, this place needs an electronica section :/
Now, don't get me wrong, the melodies were good, but once it got all electronica on me, I backed off a little. It kinda threw me off..but this is pretty genius if you think about it, anyway. Well, YOU wouldn't have to--you made this :P
Because all the complicated and simple parts come together and you never really realize how hard you work sometimes.. unless its just me :|
Nevertheless, it's not a bad song. I guess this just isn't really my type :/
-Vesta J

Reasoner responds:

We all just need to write to tom and demand an electronica genre so that your ears can stop bleeding. ;-)

very movie-ish :D

The mood you established here could be used in a variety of themes for various flashes, movies (much more likely :D), or other projects, as such. I just can't see this without a visual..you know what I mean? Well, yeah.
I'm very impressed with the song, it seemed like once you got a hold of what you wanted to accomplish with this piece, it all just came flowing out effortlessly. And when I say effortlessly, I mean the general melody, not the effects or put-together of it all. I don't know if you know what I'm saying^^, but what I mean to say is that sometimes when I make compositions (right now some of them are still unfinished at about 30 secs long T.T), it all just flows out, like I know exactly what I'm going to do. That's why when I look back at some older, unfinished songs, I think: "Wow. That sounds so great, how the hell did I come up with that?"
Yeah.
..Sorry to bore you with my insightful ramblings ^^v
But yeah like I said, I'm very impressed at the easy transitions of the song, except where some effects came in that slightly disturbed it..but it was okay. Just to let you know, I downloaded this because of my urgent emotional-epic-heroic audio needs =D
By the way, did I mention your piano is AWESOME? :O

Reasoner responds:

I would love to see this song with a visual. Some kind of animation to go along with it would rock! Since I've never animated a thing in my life, though, I'm gonna have to leave that to someone else who happens to stumble onto this song and gets inspired,,maybe,,,,,,,possibly,,,,,,,
,,please!

awesomeness :O

i found this in that BBS topic you left a link for..
This is pretty good! Awesome guitar, the bass was kick-ass >:D
The vocals were just a little soft, but overall, I liked it--its catchy.

Haha, the music surprised me after I first saw the title. I was expecting something funky and happy-go-lucky, but this is impressive.
What impressed me the most were the lyrics. After that, I'd say the drums were wild, the bass was..wait...i already described all that. ^^' Well, that's usually what happens when I have so much to say about a song but can't say it right.

Anyway, kudos on a 10! =DD

BreakingFaces responds:

Thanks :D

not bad.

Your voice was a little too soft for the rest of the song, but along with the piano, I think this is excellent for an experimental piece. The beat was nice and smooth; however, you could have added some nice variations to it to make it more interesting. Regardless of all that, I really liked this piece. I'd love to hear the final version-->PM me if you make it =D

thank you very much for your nice comment

Ending needed a real ending. Beginning was good.

She made the worst decision of her life. At the time, she was unaware of his suffering. He said nothing. He didn't know who or what had caused his life to spin out of control. Slow realization comes to her, and regret falls heavily upon her. At
1:17, he vows to never forigve who screwed up his life. He never finds out, she never apologizes. Confusion and misunderstanding consume them both.

Somwhere toward the end of the song, where the violin stopped and the piano started again--it ended too abruptly, not realistic enough. Like a violin singing beautifully and getting choked off.
Progression was outstanding, and you managed to keep throughout the song the same key and rhythm, not stepping out of line, which is fitting for this song in particular.

KTRECORDS responds:

I rememeber when I did that part at the end of the climax. I was already running out of ideas by the time I hit that part. Just the climax alone took me a couple hours to figure out how to make everything work together without sounding to...overwhelming? So by that point, I was starting to get a little burned out, so I decided not to go ahead and try anything else crazy for fear of ruining the song. U are correct though. I probably could have added a few more measures to add some more flavor.
Honestly as far as the rhythm and key of the song go... I just don't know how to play outside of D, lol. I've been teaching myself how to play the keyboard, and I find D to be the easiest to work with. And I love how easy it is to play sad songs like this in it! It makes it easier to cover up how inexperienced I really am at this lol!
Thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed the song!

i can't see how the title matches the song..

Ahh..the melodies aren't in harmony. The melody was like, come play with me, bass! And the bass was like, ahh, no. I'm good by myself; you're being too loud, anyway.
*end of talking melodies* :D
Once it hit 1:25, it sounded awful. Way too much distortion, and the kick was didn't sound very good.
Now I've gotten to the piano part. That's about the best part of the song. Very nice.
I think you've got to work on this just a little more--fix it so that the tune and the bass are well together. I mean, they sounded great individually, but together..not so much.
-Vesta J

nice beat you got there, buddy

overall, i like the ambient feel to it, plus the little hooting in the back, before the bird calls. the bird calls were just a little too loud for the song, though. the song seemed a little disoriented at that part.
i like the relaxed thing you were going for, there. my fav part was from between 0:23 and 0:36
like i said, the beat was probably the best part of the song, other than how it ended. overall, it's pretty nice.
except for the bird calls from 0:38
..maybe just lower their volume, it makes it seem like they're more important than the rest of the song, unless that's what you were aiming for right there.
-Vesta J

Geigamg responds:

Anyways this is just the demo so yea. Just wanted opinions on the general idea of the whole song. And now listening to it i agree the bird sounds were made for the bg not to interrupt the flow =/. I see where youre getting at thanks alot itll help. =D

lol!

this is a very cute and happy loop!
very cute :P you should've looped it twice or a little more so it didn't sound choppy at the end. but i really can't get it out of my head now. it has a good sound to it.
5/5

hmm..

haha, i can see this as a slow build up of power, mainly because it repeats itself over and over.
Like nintechno said--good synths, and awesome kick.
Thing is, it doesn't seem to go anywhere. I couldn't feel a true build up; I felt like it was going to come, I'm waiting here patiently..but does it come? no.
o.o
i was hoping for something more dramatic, as the melody suggested. all i got was a repeated, but good, tune, over and over, but with a slightly varying beat.
I liked it when it quieted down, and then I began to think, "okay! here it comes.."
:/
Anyway, its a good melody overall. i just think you can do something with it. But I think fireman is right. I could see this in a flash :)
-Vesta J

Korpze responds:

hmm, wait untill 10:00 mountain time (my time) i dunno when that is in your time, and i will post my remix of this song.
thx for the review dud!
