I can totally relate. I was a percussionist, so I had to carrying equipment around all the time. Those damn flute players used to whine about their arms aching in marching band, and I would just laugh as I walked by with my 30 lbs quints strapped on.
*cough*
But a bass? As in strings? LUCKY! I wish my high school would have had an orchestra!
