Try FL Studio, IMO. Simplicity for beginners, but depth for advanced users. And it's so goddamn expandable.

i've heard of fl studio, and i downloaded the demo. i can't figure it out!
so guess who just deleted it out of complete frustration? lol
i'm gonna take a look at some tutorials--i know its a good program-->i've heard a lot about it. you're also right, i can't get the sound quality i want with what i'm using, and apparently 'cutting-christ' thinks much the same.
